If you’re looking for a great head spa in Tokyo, look no further than Yuki's Japanese Tea Head Spa at Novel Tokyo Hair Salon. This was my 3rd visit, but I’m already making my 4th reservation because it’s that good.

From the moment you step in, you're transported into a serene world where traditional Japanese tea culture meets modern wellness practices. Yuki eases you into the experience as she carefully explains her thoughtfully curated selection of organic, additive-free teas from across Japan, each chosen for their unique properties.

The head spa begins with a personalized consultation, to select the perfect tea blend tailored to your needs (I chose the Dokudami Tea for which is said to be effective for skin revitalization) which is infused with the clay cleanser for the massage. After a quick rinse, she begins with a CO2 head spa treatment, which not only feels amazing but relaxing to listen to as the fizzy bubbles pop around your head like ASMR.

As the tea's beneficial catechins work their magic, you can really feel the stress melt away, so much so that I usually fall asleep half way through lol

The spa ends with a unique tea pairing
that you will be able to drink while you wait for your hair to dry. I tried all three but I liked the Yuzu tea I had today the best.

The whole experience is about 1 hour, or 30 min if you choose the short course, but if it’s your first time, I recommend the long course. You won’t believe how smooth your hair feels and trust me, you’ll be touching your hair all day. XD
